Our Story

About Village Mall

Village Mall Hartbeespoort official opened its doors in October 2008 and in 2011 Phase 2 was completed. The current footprint is approximately 24, 000m2.

The shopping centre boasts an easy and accessible shopping experience with free parking. Young and old can enjoy a lively mix of 60 stores which include a Woolworths, Checkers, Pick n' Pay and a Dis-Chem. Village Mall is known for being "Die Hart van Harties" [The Heart of the Harties]

Hartbeespoort "Close to the City, Out of this World"
Hartbeespoort, informally known as "Harties", is a small town in the North West Province of South Africa, situated on the slopes of the Magaliesberg Mountain and the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam.

The name of the town means "gateway of Hartbees [a species of Antelope] in Afrikaans. Hartbeespoort is the collective name of a few smaller towns situated around the Hartbeespoort Dam, such as Meerhof, Ifafi, Melodie, Schoemansville and Kosmos.

The town consists of permanent residences and holiday houses around the dam as it is popular with visitors from the nearby Gauteng Province.
